AWS Consumer Mobile Platform

Amazon Web Services has sponsored the development of a first phase prototype stair climbing robot base. The base is controlled using a NVIDIA Jetson Xavier communicating via ROS 2 Foxy and uses LiDAR to map objects and automatically detect stairs. It has the potential to traverse up and down an OSHA standard staircase with full autonomy.

The robot base is an alpha prototype created using mostly rapid prototyping methods. It is made out of off the shelf and 3D-printed parts for easy reconfiguration and prototyping. Manufactured components are made from aluminum and steel and designed for waterjet or laser cutting. The base demonstrates the ability to climb a set of stairs with a large amount of load. With further iteration and weight reduction, it has the potential to carry an additional payload such as an articulating armed robot.

This project is a significant step towards the development of a practical and affordable stair climbing robot base. The use of LiDAR and ROS 2 Foxy enables the robot to navigate autonomously, and the modular design makes it easy to customize and upgrade. The robot base has the potential to be used in a wide range of applications, such as delivery, home automation, and disaster response.

CSU CHICO, 2023

AI-Powered High Frquency Trading Bot

Developed an Ethereum trading bot that uses AutoGPT to pull live and historical data from multiple sources, analyze the data to identify trading opportunities, and execute trades quickly and efficiently. The bot also includes a successful trading strategy, stop losses, and other features to minimize risk and maximize profits. The bot can trade on a variety of exchanges, including Binance, Huobi, and Kraken, and it can trade a variety of Ethereum-based tokens, including ERC-20 tokens. The bot is easy to use and configure, and it is secure and reliable.

The bot uses a variety of trading strategies, including different forms of arbitrage, global macro, long/short equity, passive market making, and so on. It also uses stop losses and trailing stops to protect profits and limit losses. Additional features include the ability to analyze market trends and news to provide accurate and timely insights that inform trading decisions.

PERSONAL PROJECT-2023

5X Welder

The 5x Welder is a significant upgrade to a critical manufacturing step, eliminating a major bottleneck and increasing efficiency by 400%. This automated welder creates all needed welds for the product simultaneously, eliminating downtime and improving throughput.

The project involved modifying an industry-standard spot welder to discharge five times the amperage and split it by five weld heads, instead of the standard one weld at a time. This required extensive engineering and design, as well as careful integration into the existing manufacturing process.

The 5x Welder has been a major success, streamlining the manufacturing process and significantly increasing productivity. It is a testament to the innovative spirit of the team and their commitment to continuous improvement.

INTERSHIP-2022

Multi-head Trimmer

Designed and implemented a multi-head product trimmer that automates a crucial step of the manufacturing process, reducing process time from 60 seconds per panel to 7 seconds by performing all 5 necessary trims in one pass.

INTERNSHIP-2021

Pick & Place + Welder end-effector

Developed a robotic arm end effector that integrates pick-and-place and spot welding capabilities into a single unit. The end effector utilizes pneumatics and air suction to pick and place PCB boards, and it also includes an actuated spot welder to perform the welds. This innovative design automates a crucial step of the manufacturing process, improving efficiency and reducing costs.

INTERSHIP-2020

Automated Product dispenser

Engineered and built an automated product dispenser machine that dispenses sheets onto a conveyor belt with high accuracy, increasing manufacturing speed and reducing human error.

INTERSHIP-2020

Stage LED Facade

Contracted to design and build an affordable stage facade for an events company, using a matrix of 600 individually addressable LEDs. Programmed a mobile app to control different settings on the wall, allowing for custom lighting effects and animations.

CONTRACT-2023

Autonomous Napkin Folder

Developed an autonomous napkin folder to eliminate the tedious and repetitive task of napkin folding in restaurants. The machine takes stacks of knives, forks, and napkins as input and organizes them in a restaurant-friendly manner. It then automatically folds the napkins around the utensils and dispenses the finished product into a bin.
